1. Latitude 2022

Location: Henham Park

The Latitude festival has been creating unforgettable memories for more than 10 years. Hosted at the beautiful Henham Park in Suffolk, Latitude is one of the highlights of the festival season.

You and your family can enjoy the best of poetry, dance, literature, music, podcasts and wellness. There are lots of family activities and entertainment for teens, and kids.

The festival is family-friendly. However, anyone under 16 is not allowed to be at the festival without an adult of 18 or over. Children under 10 years must also be in the company of an adult.

2. Cornbury Music Festival

The Cornbury Music Festival is an eccentric and one of a kind musical carnival. This dynamic summer festival takes place in Great Tew Park in Oxfordshire. Founded by music promoter Hugh Phillimore, the 2017 festival was originally announced to be the last. However, they reversed the decision.

After a two year sabbatical, the festival is back, and they are bringing the classic Cornbury line-up. Byran Adams, the Canadian rocker will grace the show. Joining him will be James Blunt, Scottish stars The Waterboys, rock popstars The Darkness and many more.

3. Camp Bestival Shropshire

Location: Weston Park

Dates: 18th – 21st August 2022

Camp Bestival Shropshire is a family-friendly music festival held at Weston Park. Headliners such as Fatboy Slim, Becky Hill and Rag’n’Bone Man will provide entertainment and excitement for all ages.

There will be plenty of family fun with Extreme Bike Battle, Horrible Histories and more. The festival will also have a host of good times on offer from Kung Fu for kids to Family Silent Discos and much more. 4. Kendal Calling

With over 250 artists across 13 stages, Kendall Calling promises to be the biggest party in 2022. Set at its beautiful Lake District home, the music and arts festival has grown from a two day 900 capacity event to a 25,000 capacity festival.

The festival is safe and family-friendly. In fact, they’ve a dedicated kids play area with everything – from workshops for teens to mothers and babies tents. The festival also has a dedicated Family Campsite that offers the best views of the beautiful Cumbrian landscape.

5. Camp Bestival

8. Nozstock Festival

Nozstock is a three-day art and music festival set in the rural rolling hills in Bromyard, Herefordshire. Founded in 1998 as a barbeque, the festival has grown from a fun-loving family event to its current capacity of 5000.

The 2022 edition will have ten stages of live music, theatre, cabaret tent, comedy tent and even a hip-hop stage. At the heart of the festival site is Orchard, the main stage.

9. England’s Medieval Festival

Location: Herstmonceux Castle

England’s Medieval Festival is a medieval-themed event held at Herstmonceux Castle in Sussex. The three-day festival features knight battles, jousting, falconry, battles, theatre, and re-enactments. You also have workshops, medieval food, real ale, crafts, horses and traditional folk music.

There are have-a-go activities for adults and kids. They include axe throwing, calligraphy, copper bowl making, archery and much more. Entry to the castle is across a moat, then through the courtyard and into the walled gardens. Dogs on leads are welcome.

10. The Big Feastival

Location: Cotswolds

Dates: 26th to 28th August 2022

Another three day festival for music lovers is the Victorious Portsmouth Festival. Held in Portsmouth, the festival will have a kids arena with all attractions and entertainment completely free.

The focal point of the festival is the Common Stage. Located on Southsea common, the stage plays host to high profile acts with stellar productions. Previous festivals hosted Paul Weller, Elbow, The Prodigy, Rudimental and more. Adjacent to Southsea Castle is the Castle Stage.

This stunning landmark belonged to Henry VIII, and during the festival, there is an incredible arena. Here, you can watch your favourite artists and dance to their lyrics.

12. Towersey Festival

The Festival of Sport is back at Holkham this August 2022 with an extra night added. Founded by Austin Healey and Will Greenwood, the festival offers a weekend of family fun with camping, and competitions.
