Located at Hill Barn Farm in Snowshill, Worcestershire, this year the lavender fields in the Cotswolds is open from Wednesday 15th of June or Sunday 7th of August 2022. Be sure to take a picnic with you, and bring your dog for a wonderful summer’s day out in the UK.
Hitchin Lavender Fields
If you’re on the hunt for a lavender field near London, then Hitchin Lavender Fields is one of the best bets. It’s located in Hertfordshire and can easily be reached by car or train from the capital. As a small family run flower farm, Hitchin Lavender Fields is open during the summer months and has both rows of lavender, acres of sunflowers and even a romantic wildflower meadow. Plus, at Hitchin Lavender Fields you will have the opportunity to pick your own lavender to take home as a beautiful souvenir of your experience. You can also bring a picnic or try out their new Field Kitchen menu. Hitchin Lavender Fields sits on the graceful rolling slopes of Wilbury Hills and will open from June 2022.
Welsh Lavender Fields
For those who live in the midlands or towards the North of England, you’ll be pleased to hear that there is also a lavender farm in South Wales. Offering guests a tour of their lavender oil distillery, the chance to explore the lavender fields and the option to pick up a couple of local lavender goodies from the farm shop. With spectacular views across Mynydd Epynt, this Welsh lavender farm is open all year round but the best time to visit is from May to September when the lavender plants are in full bloom. Mayfield Lavender – North Surrey Hills
This lavender field is located in the North Surrey Hills and as well as rows of lavender, you will find a variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables growing here. Mayfield Lavender is open from June to September and offers visitors a unique opportunity to wander through the lavender fields, learn about how lavender is grown and distilled and purchase lavender products and gifts from the farm shop.
Somerset Lavender Near Bath
Somerset Lavender is only an hour away from Bath. This working lavender farm grows and harvests their own lavender which they distil on-site to make essential oils, lavender flower water and dried flowers. As well as exploring the fields, which are home to over 20 varieties of Lavender, you can also wander through their healing garden, which features Thyme, Lemon Balm, Arnica and Echinacea. There is also a gift shop on-site where you can purchase local honey and handmade crafts. Take your little ones along as they will love exploring the farm, admiring all of the different types of plants and flowers that grow there. Open from May to September, Somerset Lavender is a great day out for the whole family.
Kent Lavender Fields
Although Kent may be known more for its apple orchards and hop fields, did you know that they also have their very own lavender farm? Kent Lavender Fields is open from May to September and offers visitors the chance to wander through their lavender fields, enjoy a picnic within the grounds or purchase some lavender goodies from the gift shop. As well as growing lavender, Kent Lavender Fields also grows sunflowers which make for a beautiful photo opportunity. Sample fresh lavender tea and lavender honey at their award-winning farm shop.
