Hitchin Lavender Fields
If you’re on the hunt for a lavender field near London, then Hitchin Lavender Fields is one of the best bets. It’s located in Hertfordshire and can easily be reached by car or train from the capital. As a small family run flower farm, Hitchin Lavender Fields is open during the summer months and has both rows of lavender, acres of sunflowers and even a romantic wildflower meadow. Somerset Lavender Near Bath
Somerset Lavender is only an hour away from Bath. This working lavender farm grows and harvests their own lavender which they distil on-site to make essential oils, lavender flower water and dried flowers. As well as exploring the fields, which are home to over 20 varieties of Lavender, you can also wander through their healing garden, which features Thyme, Lemon Balm, Arnica and Echinacea. There is also a gift shop on-site where you can purchase local honey and handmade crafts. Take your little ones along as they will love exploring the farm, admiring all of the different types of plants and flowers that grow there. Open from May to September, Somerset Lavender is a great day out for the whole family.
Kent Lavender Fields
Although Kent may be known more for its apple orchards and hop fields, did you know that they also have their very own lavender farm? Kent Lavender Fields is open from May to September and offers visitors the chance to wander through their lavender fields, enjoy a picnic within the grounds or purchase some lavender goodies from the gift shop.
